Public testimony on HIV/AIDS Department of Health

The Washington State Board of Health held a zoom meeting allowing the public to comment on rules hearing continuance for communicable and other certain diseases Wednesday.

Public comments were cut off after 30 seconds so many speakers were cut-off mid sentence.

The second portion of public comments was discontinued after the lunch break due to most speakers addressing vaccines for children that was not on the agenda.

Online articles as well as widely circulated social media posts prompted Washington staters to register to speak about COVID mandates.  It seemed a majority of public comments expressed dissatisfaction, anger and some warnings of "consequences" against mandating vaccinations.

"11. Rulemaking Petition – Chapter 246-105 WAC, Immunization Criteria, Child Care and School Entry" was voted down.

One comment by the public was that they approved the WAC 246.100 changes which does set up the platform for much worse things.

Here is the link to King County's Isolation/Quarantine Facilities but during the meeting this was said to be voluntary for people who needed a place to quarantine.
