Remembering those lost at the World Trade Center and 911

A national day of reflection is in order to remember the devastating loss of nearly 3,000 lives twenty years ago.

The four hijackings on September 11, 2001 of commercial planes by al Qaeda terrorists was the largest attack on our soil in U.S. history.

Buildings struck by the planes were two buildings of the New York City World Trade Center, the Pentagon and one plane crashed a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, when passengers decided to fight the hijackers in an effort to stop them from attacking Washington,  D.C.
