Downtown Bellevue Air Quality: Unhealthy As Of 11:00 PM Friday; May Improve On Saturday

Image

As of 11:00 PM Friday night, Bellevue air quality was in the unhealthy range, which is in the range (151-200 AQI) where AQI represents the Air Quality Index.

Recommendations are that everyone should keep outdoor activities light and short, and monitor how you feel according to AirNow at https://airnow.gov/.

Air quality in Bellevue compares to Woodridge and Houghton Station areas which are in the unhealthy for sensitive groups range (101-150 AQI) where the recommendation is to consider moving all activities indoors. Sensitive groups include people with heart or lung disease, older adults, children, and pregnant women.

The Puget Sound CAA forecasts that we will some clearing of smoke on Saturday which could remain moderate.  Smoke from California will present hazy skies on Saturday and Sunday but is not expected to affect air quality at ground level.

The current AQI map can be found for your area by going to the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency website at https://pscleanair.org/ and scrolling down the page until you see the Current Air Quality Map located on the bottom left-hand side.  The actual link to view the map is: Current Air Quality Map.
