Bellevue's City Council approved HB 1590 for more housing related and behavioral health services

With Monday's City Council's vote to pass House Bill 1590, more funds will go to mental health and supportive services as well as rental assistance programs in Bellevue.

The funds will come from a sales tax increase that is to fund affordable housing and related services, according to The Bity of Bellevue's online announcement. The tax revenue should raise about $8.5 million this year. Nineteen agencies out of 25 applications will receive funding for their programs to deliver housing related and human services programs.
